Today I’m thrilled to present to you Marie S, who (unlike many of her Class of 2015 peers) lucked out and picked the absolutely PERFECT weather day for her senior session. If you follow along on my blog, you know that’s certainly been a challenge this summer and into fall. Mother Nature has not been kind to me, and this week is certainly no exception.
Anyhow, I’ve known Marie for quite a long time, as she and my daughter have been friends for a very long time. She’s just a sweetheart, and a special musical talent.
I know that Marie and her family were initially undecided on whether to do senior photos with a professional (or even at all!) and I’m so glad that they did. You can google “why hire a pro” and get several standard answers like lighting, consistency, quality of images, etc. but I’d like to think that people hire me because not only do I try to make every session unique and special, but I try to make the whole process and fun and special experience too. I want everybody I shoot to have fun, feel attractive and confident, and feel great about their photos and how they look. I mean, let’s be honest here….how many of us spend any real time in front of a camera? We’re not models. I know that I’ve taken photos of a few former models, but for the most part, the people that I photograph are just regular people, like me, who just aren’t that comfortable having their pictures taken. I hope I can change that for the people who hire me!
Anyhow, that’s my soapbox for the day and this is supposed to be Marie’s day to shine, and shine she DID. Thanks Marie for being a beautiful and fun model for me on such a lovely day!
