Last week I blogged about being selected to represent the Magic Hour Foundation, a non profit network of professional photographers who donate their services to photograph those fighting and surviving cancer.
My inspiration for becoming a part of MCH is my friend K and her family. K has been fighting the rough fight for a while now. She contacted me a few weeks ago to photograph her family and I feel so honored that she did. When we did the shoot, we had a glorious snowy day. It was awesome. I’m just going to let the the photos of this beautiful family do the talking.
I just love this family so much. We only recently met, but I feel like we’ve been friends forever, KWIM? I really admire K’s courageous and positive spirit as well. She’s amazing, as is her whole beautiful family. I hope my photos captured the love that they have for one another. I found this quote today and I think it’s so fitting:
You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience
in which you really stop to look fear in the face.
You are able to say to yourself, ‘I lived through this horror,
I can take the next thing that comes along.’
~ Eleanor Roosevelt ~
Amen.
