Digital Art & Such

Wow, needless to say it’s been quite the few weeks around here, and sadly, my blog has been neglected. I need to get it rolling again.

On the bad side, my daughter had an unfortunate accident that caused her to suffer some severe burns about three weeks ago. Nothing life-threatening, thank goodness, but it was pretty bad and that threw our family into a bit of a tailspin for that first week, that’s for sure. At this point, she’s healing nicely and is itching to get back to doing some of her favorite things, like piano and violin, and drawing. We’re hoping that by the time school starts in September, she’ll be close to 100% again.

On the good side, I have been taking tons of pictures, but unfortunately, I can’t show them to you. I’ve been doing some commercial work and until their websites go live, I can’t share because they’re proprietary. I’ve also been busy doing some photobook and album design for both myself and for some other photographers. Busy, busy, busy!

I promise I will be back writing regularly again starting today. Since I don’t have very many photos to show for my time away, today I’m going to share some of my digital art that I’ve created this year. I am on Anna Aspnes‘s creative team and her products are just so artsy and inspiring. They have taken my style of digital art in a different direction in the past year or so, and while I like my old style, I like how my new style has evolved. I hope you do too.

That’s it for me today. I’m off to play golf with Andy and friends this afternoon at a course that I’ve really, really wanted to play. Unfortunately, it looks like more thunderstorms will be joining us. I hope not. The rain is really great and we need it, but it should wait a few hours. Is that asking too much?

Have a great weekend!
