Earlier this week I shared some of my favorite pics from my trip to Rochester New York earlier this summer. It was awesome on so many levels. For one, it’s always a blast to shoot in an entirely new environment, and part of the thrill of that is having no clue going into it what to expect. Another great thing is meeting up with dear friends who I have known for literally years due to the magic and glory of the Internet (thank you Al Gore!) but had never actually met in person.
One of those extra special people is my friend Kristin. Kristin and I have been in a special group of women who “met” online nearly 20 years ago. This group has endured the test of time, not to mention several technological platforms and changes. We started out as a group on Prodigy (remember that one?) and now the great majority of us reside in a group on Facebook. There are about 35 of us and we’ve been there for each other through all the ups and downs that life throws at everybody….births, deaths, divorces, marriage, job changes, career changes, and just about anything and everything you can imagine.
Last year was a tough year for three special group members who were fighting their fight with the ugly beast better known as cancer. My friend Kristin not only fought that beast, but beat her down and kicked her to the curb. She fought cancer with strength, grace, and a never-ending sense of humor. I could go on an on about it and about the others, but let’s just let the pics show you the joy instead.
We did several locations, combined with Andy from “Rochester Part One” ~ because they’re pals (small world!), and a bunch with her daughter Emma who will be a senior in high school this fall. I’ve got some awesome senior shots of Emma, but I’m saving those for another day.
Kristin is so beautiful and feels great about herself after beating cancer and needing surgery. We did a few boudoir shots, and she totally rocked it! She’s gorgeous!

Friends!!
I hope you like them! I’m looking forward to more travels in the next few months, including Duluth Minnesota, Dallas Texas, and maybe even coastal Carolina. I am so blessed to be able to travel to take photos of wonderful people in amazing locations. Thank you Kristin and Andy for bringing me to Rochester and the beautiful Lake Ontario!
